FAQ
Interactive Storage offers a variety of unit sizes to meet different needs, ranging from 9m² to 36m². Each unit size is designed to accommodate everything from small personal items to large business inventories or vehicles.
The minimum rental period is one month. However, we offer flexible leasing options that can be adjusted according to your specific storage needs, whether short-term or long-term.
Interactive Storage is totally enclosed by a Nemtek Merlin M285 energiser electric fencing system which is never switched off.
CDF Security, based in Durbanville, are our monitoring and armed response service provider, who have installed, and maintain, an alarm system.
Furthermore we subscribe to a dedicated after-hours CDF armed response vehicle that patrols the business park at irregular intervals, from dusk to dawn.
We have a permanent on-site resident on the premises, and carefully vet, record, and monitor all visitors to and from our facility.
These comings and goings are recorded by two CCTV cameras, and the recordings stored for 28 days.
Finally, your possessions will be stored in your own exclusive unit, to be secured by two padlocks, which you yourself will provide, and to which, only you hold the keys.
Whilst there are prescribed trading hours, access outside of these hours can easily and conveniently be arranged by contacting our on site manager, Rod Comer.
For safety and compliance reasons, we do not allow the storage of perishables, flammable substances, explosives, illegal items, or fire arms.
Our staff is available to help you determine the best unit size based on the items you plan to store.
While not mandatory, we highly recommend that you insure your belongings. You can either purchase insurance through our partnering providers or extend your existing home or business insurance to cover your stored items. Check out J.B Le Roux insurance brokers.
Absolutely! We offer flexible solutions, and you can upgrade or downgrade your unit based on availability. Our team is here to assist with adjustments to ensure your storage needs are met efficiently.
STORAGE TIPS & TRICKS

Plan your space
Before moving items into your storage unit, create a layout plan to maximize space utilization, ensuring you leave enough room for an aisle to access items easily.

Label Everything
Label all boxes and containers clearly on multiple sides for easy identification, helping you locate things quickly without needing to open every box.

Use Uniform Boxes
Spend a little extra on double walled boxes rather than re-using old boxes which on stacking, may easily collapse, causing damage and breakages.

Dismantle Furniture
Break down furniture items, such as bed frames and tables, to save space and prevent damage. Keep all screws and small parts in a labeled bag, taped to the furniture it belongs to.

Protect Your Belongings
Use covers, bubble wrap, or old blankets to wrap and protect furniture, mirrors, artworks etc. from dust and scratches.

Store Items You Frequently Use at the Front
Place items you expect to access frequently near the entrance of the unit to avoid having to move things around later.

Keep an Inventory
Maintain a detailed list of everything stored in your unit, possibly keeping a copy inside the unit and another offsite or digitally for quick reference.

Use Clear Storage Bins for Visibility
Clear bins allow you to see the contents without opening them, saving time and effort in locating your belongings.

Optimize Vertical Space
Stack boxes and storage bins, and consider using tall shelving units to make full use of the vertical space in your unit within the legal parameters prescribed the O.H.S regulations.
